like any other college student who is about to graduate, i’ve been asked what my future plans are. And like most students, i answer with a confident, “I don’t know.”
ok…That statement isn’t entirely true.
I do know that i love marketing and what it entails. i love to meet new people, develop relationships, and most importantly, i love helping people. even though i am just graduating this spring, i have already helped many businesses with their marketing plans. i realized very quickly that just taking classes was not going to be enough to set myself up for success, so i started asking small businesses in my hometown if they needed help. i met many business owners who were looking to expand, advertise, or just increase brand awareness.
throughout college, my real passion has been videography. if you want to read about how i began that journey, click here! i also enjoy graphic design because of the brainstorming and ideas that comes out of creating something. it helps businesses who want advertisements and brochures created for them as well.
through all of these skills, i still find myself not able to choose an exact career path i want to pursue.
because marketing is such a broad major, i find myself searching anywhere from video production, to sales representative, to management. but by keeping my options open, i know i’ll find more opportunities. with my real world expereience and overall skills from the classroom, i’m confident there is a career fit for me.
